A Green Peel is a compound of natural herbs rich in vital nutrients, trace elements, mineral salts, proteins and vitamins that aid in the rejuvenation of the skin when massaged in. The treatment increases blood circulation and oxygenation to the tissue, encouraging faster cell metabolism and collagen production. These compounds work in synchronicity to dissolve bacteria, oil, dead skin cells and pigmentation by causing the upper layers of the skin to peel (on the face an or/body). By removing the upper skin layer and temporarily interrupting the barrier function, the plant-based ingredients(e.g.enzymes) can reach the living epidermis to a predetermined depth and induce the formation of immune mediators via controlled cell irritation and protein precipitation. This micro traumatization leads to an increase in cell and fibre proliferation by increasing blood flow,and stimulating metabolism of the skin. These processes, combined with the new formation of the horny layer, cause the cosmetically desired rejuvenation of the skin.
Before performing this treatment, a thorough Skin Analysis and Consultation will be conducted in order to determine whether your skin is suitable for any of the GREEN PEEL®Herbal Peelings. You will discuss your goals with your Skin Therapist and will be informed about the contraindications, procedure and effects of the treatment.Â
- 4 weeks before & after your peel: No laser treatment, neuromodulators, thread lifting, or filler
- 2 weeks before: Avoid exfoliants such as retinol, microneedling, chemical or mechanical peeling
- 1 week before: No sun exposure, waxing, electrolysis or hair removal creams
- *If prone to herpes simplex, we advise a topical antiviral medication to be used for 1 week prior to treatment, if treating the face
2/3 days before: No sunburn, retin-A, Renova, Differin (Adapalene 0.1%), Tarmac, AHA, BHA, Benzoyl Peroxide or any Vitamin A products (Retinol)
Depending on massage pressure and consistency of the skin, this can involve a tingling and prickling sensation, but no pain. The herbal massage can be slightly uncomfortable at most.

After a GREEN PEEL® treatment, the skin is young and fresh, which means it will need special attention. With every GREEN PEEL® treatment your skin becomes stronger, firmer and more resistant.
GREEN PEEL®: Although this treatment can be done at any time of the year, intensive sunbathing should initially be avoided after a GREEN PEEL® treatment, as the fresh skin is particularly sensitive to sunlight.Â

- Avoid excessive sweating (exercise and sauna)
- Do not use any makeup or powder, instead apply Blemish Balm
- Avoid intense sun exposure
- Do not apply any peeling product 4 weeks after the herbal peeling treatment!
- Do not remove peeling skin
In contrast to other peeling methods,GREEN PEEL®contains no synthetic peeling agents or chemicals. It is safe and can be used with almost any skin type. The fruit acid peeling is a chemical peeling method preferably done in low-sunlight months. This kind of peeling requires 8-10 sessions in weekly intervals before showing visible results.
Microneedling is a highly effective treatment that yields similar results to those of a Green Peel and creates microtrauma by pricking the skin with very small needles to stimulate the natural rejuvenation process. Additionally, active ingredients may be transfected into the skin. Just like with Green Peel, microneedling is commonly used to improve fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks, and skin texture. Unlike with traditional microneedling, GREEN PEEL effectively treats moderate acne!
This treatment can be performed as often as every two weeks for a series of 3-6 sessions for best results.
