MESOTHERAPY
Active Ingredient Infusion
This technique uses the same fine needles we use in microneedling to create micro channels. The difference with mesotherapy is that we use those micro channels to deliver a cocktail of active ingredients into the mesodermal (middle) layer of tissue under the skin. It’s effects are immediate, as it reboots the skin from the inside out!
Wrinkles, anti aging, dry skin, stretchmarks & scars.
All skin types.
SKIN: Firming, lifting, and toning effects, improve the appearance of flaccid skin on the face and body. It also hydrates the skin, protecting it against the free radicals. It stimulates collagen and elastin production and is indicated to prevent skin aging, as well as skin lightening.
The desired effects are dependent upon on the cocktail chosen by your Skin Therapist.
Every 4-6 weeks for a series of 3-6 sessions for best results.
There are many treatments for acne scars, each with characteristic side effects. For most treatments, the main side effect is post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (Fabbrocini et al., 2010) which is most pronounced in darker skin types (Shah and Alexis, 2010). Postinflammatory hyperpigmentation may result from dermabrasion, chemical peels and laser resurfacing.Microneedling acne scarring leaves the epidermis largely intact. Full effect seen after 6 weeks, as the mechanism of action is enhanced collagen production. Lowest risk of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation when compared to other procedures.Micro Needling Acne Scars ReferencesAlster TS, West TB (1996) Resurfacing of atrophic facial acne scars with a high-energy, pulsed carbon dioxide laser. Microneedling with Dermapen is an ideal therapy for stretch marks; it is excellent for atrophic scars, and stretch marks can be seen as areas of mild atrophic scarring. Additionally, Dermapen therapy is inexpensive and easy to perform and tolerate compared to alternatives. Treatment involves stimulation of neocollagenesis to induce therapeutic skin thickening by creating zones of damage surrounded by healthy tissue. The treatment may also reduce pigmentation and “blur” lines of demarcation, contributing to striae’s visibility. Potential for PIH (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation) associated with other modalities is virtually non-existent with Dermapen, which is of particular note when considering the treatment of darker-skinned patients because associated dermal damage induces apoptosis (programmed cell death, rather than necrosis), which does not contribute to inflammation problems.
As we age our body begins to lose volume, and our skin becomes loose and elastic. This naturally happens as the building blocks of collagen proteins that help keep our cells strong and connected begins to degrade and become weaker over time. As a result, gravity tends to have more influence on your skin cells, and over time this creates droopiness, wrinkles, and bands on your skin. During the skin’s healing process, your body produces fresh collagen to replace the damaged collagen, which rejuvenates your skin by increasing your body’s natural production of collagen and elastin. This results in an overall improvement in the texture and tightness of your skin by “filling in the lines,” and removing the wrinkles, scars, and stretch marks that can keep you looking young as you age.
Microneedling for dark spots is the best treatment method because it is chemical-free and induces the body to naturally heal itself. There are no side effects and the results last for a long time. It is effective for all skin types and offers a no fail dark spot treatment.Hyperpigmentation can be caused by hormonal changes, exposure to the sun, aging or medication. Dark spots stand out and make a person feel self-conscious all the time. There are ways in which these dark spots can be made to fade with time and even disappear completely. Micro needling is the most effective of all the procedures used to treat pigmentation.Hyperpigmentation occurs due to uneven production of melanin throughout the layer of skin. Wherever melanin is produced in excess, dark spots appear. This irregularity in the generation of melanin can be caused by acne, cuts, sunburn, etc. These dark spots are very stubborn and become more pronounced with time instead of fading away naturally. The reason behind this is that the skin stops producing new cells as a person ages. The old cells accumulate over time and give the skin a very dull appearance. This is where micro needling comes in to give your skin the perfect boost to restart its growth process. Microneedling involves the use of a pen which contains several tiny needles which are aligned equidistantly. The pen is used to inject these needles at different spots to create micro channels. This is called the collagen induction therapy because the small injuries made to the skin cause surface bleeding which compels the body to start its healing process. The old layer of skin starts becoming dry and in a week or so peels off. Over a period of 10 to 14 days, new collagen is formed to cover up the injuries. This new layer of skin is free from any kind of spots or marks.
Dark spots of both the epidermis and the dermis layers of the skin can be reduced with the help of microneedling. The microneedling procedure requires 4 to 6 sessions with a gap of 4 to 8 weeks between each session. The skin starts responding after the first session itself and at the end of the whole procedure, you get rejuvenated, firm and spot-free skin.
Microneedling is a process in which percutaneous collagen induction is carried out with the help of minuscule needles which vertically penetrate the skin surface under the eyes. The small punctures are a form of controlled injury which stimulate the body to start its natural repairing process. New skin cells are generated which remove the dullness and darkness under the eyes. Microneedling under the eyes takes 4 to 6 sessions according to the patient’s requirement. These sessions can be done over a period of 3 to 6 months. Microneedling is sometimes done at home using a derma roller. However, it is safer to go to a medical practitioner for this treatment to avoid damage. Is microneedling near the eyes safe? This is a question that comes to mind whenever skin treatment is discussed. In this case, the concern is greater because it involves the sensitive eye area. However, microneedling has been proven to be safe as well as effective. The reason is that the small punctures created by the needles hardly take a day or two to get repaired and the redness also disappears within 24 hours.Another factor is that micro-needling is a mechanical procedure that does not make use of any chemicals. This makes it much safer than surgical treatments. The process can be stopped at any time in case the patient feels any discomfort. This is a relatively less painful process that most patients are able to tolerate.
Results can be seen after just the first session. This is because the skin is already stimulated enough to start its new collagen formation process, which takes place over a period of 10 to 14 days. As old skin cells peel off and new skin cells take their place, the skin under the eye starts looking healthier and becomes more firm. Eye bags gradually disappear within 45 days and dark circles, as well as wrinkles, are reduced. After the completion of all the sessions, the undereye area becomes free of all problems. Microneedling under the eye can be done on all skin types and the great results last for a long time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Microneedling is a minimally invasive process that involves gently pricking the surface of the skin with tiny needles. The small channels created by the needles are like wounds. Just as every wound sets the healing process of the body into motion, these injuries also stimulate the collagen formation process of the skin. The body stops producing more collagen as a person ages. Microneedling face skin is a way of reminding the body to restart the collagen and elastin production process, which then leads to the formation of a new layer of skin which is thicker and smoother than before.
The skin is throughly cleansed and numbed. Using a microneedling pen, 12 ultra-fine sterile needles are gently glided across the skin surface creating small punctures and surface bleeding. The pain experienced is of a very low level because the tiny needles just prick the layers of the skin. Some more sensitive areas might be slightly uncomfortable or "ticklish" at times.
